Mortgage House Offers Relief to Queensland Flood Victims

Deeply affected by the tragic loss of life and property in flood ravaged Queensland MORTGAGE HOUSE OF AUSTRALIA Managing Director, Ken Sayer has today announced immediate relief measures for home loan customers hit by this devastating disaster.

Mr Sayer wishes to reassure Mortgage House customers in flood-affected areas of Queensland that he has implemented special arrangements to alleviate any further stress that may be brought about by financial concerns.

“I have been overwhelmed by the harrowing images of towns and now a city almost decimated by Mother Nature at her most unforgiving,” said Mr Sayer.

“Conversely I have been incredibly moved and heartened by the resilience of the Australian spirit.

“Watching people who are determined not to be defeated, stand back up in the face of all this and offer a helping hand to others has stirred me profoundly,” he said.

Mr Sayer has instigated the following for Queensland’s flood-affected Mortgage House home loan customers, to take effect immediately. He urges people to call 133 144 to discuss their individual situations.

  • Deferred home loan repayments for up to two months or
  • Decreased home loan repayments for up to four months.
  • An extension of the term of the loan to accommodate the deferred or decreased home loan repayments, above.
  • The waiving of late fees and arrears fees and related recovery fees.
